Don Carson is founder of Don Carson Associates, LLC, and co-founder of The Ansley Capital Group, LLC, Ansley Securities LLC, and Cardez Hospitality Group, LLC. He is currently President of RFA Management Company, LLC, an Atlanta-based single-family office, and President of Nevada Oversight, Inc. and GWR PTC, LLC, which are Nevada private trust companies. Carson worked for many years in the investment and commercial banking industry, primarily for Wachovia Bank, N.A.™ of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During that time, he was head of the international banking and investment banking businesses. After leaving Wachovia Bank, N.A. in 1998, he became partner of Paradigm Capital® in Chicago, Illinois, and later co-founded Ansley Securities, LLC® with his partner at Paradigm, Russell Burks. After a brief assignment with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra® as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, he joined RFA Management Company, LLC®. |
Carson currently serves as an outside director for LOR, Inc® and Rollins Holding Company, Inc.®. In 2015, Carson co-founded Cardez Hospitality Group, LLC, a franchisee of Simply Southern Restaurant Group, which franchises Chicken Salad Chick restaurants. Cardez currently operates two stores in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area.
Carson currently serves as a trustee of Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin and Board Chair for Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, Asheville, North Carolina. He is a director of Catheter Precision, LLC, Budd Lake, New Jersey, and a trustee of The Cook and Bynum Fund, a publicly traded mutual fund. He is a trustee of The Gary W. Rollins Foundation.
Carson is a graduate of Beloit College, American Graduate School of Global Management, and the University of Chicago. Carson performs regularly with the Reunion Jazz and Blues Quintet and appears on numerous recordings for Telarc and Deutsche Grammophon with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Four of those recordings have earned Grammys. Carson is a former voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
